So

So, I finished another mystery knit-along shawl a couple of weeks ago, and today is the date we can finally post photos of our finished pieces on social media. So… voila!!
[I’m going to pop a few more photos in the comments if you want to see a bit more detail.]
{Edited to add that the pattern is called Beautiful Together and it’s an off-centre half-pi shawl design my Romi Hill and I used 2 shades of Old Maiden Aunt yarn – Gothic and Red Velvet – which I picked up at the Edinburgh Yarn Festival (slowly working through my stash!)}

    1. It’s so funny cos I was so unsure about the colours as I was knitting, and by the time I finished it, I was really happy with them again. That happens so often when I’m knitting!

    1. I’m so glad it was a mystery shawl with each part revealed as the knit progressed. Otherwise, I might have been too intimidated to tackle it! However, it’s actually been a real confidence boost.

    1. More practice than talent, Nikki! And with each new project I learn a new skill- I’m completely addicted to it – hahaha!

  1. That’s a bit gorgeous darling! Don’t bring it to Brighton.. it might get lost!!! πŸ˜€

    1. Hahaha! Well…. I’m hoping to have a new one to bring with me to Brighton. Although it might not suffice against the sea breeze – so this one might have to come too…. πŸ˜‰

  2. You are very talented. I’ve just learned to crochet and I’m addicted to that. I seen some gorgeous wool in a shop in Edinburgh and I thought of you. It would make a beautiful shawl. X

  3. WOW that is gorgeous, love the color and it looks beautiful on you. the color really compliments your skin tone. <3

    1. It’s a colour I like to wear a lot, so it’s a really wearable piece in my wardrobe. Lots of things go with it!

    1. Yeah – she’s a Scottish indie dyer and her colours are just lush. A very popular stall at the yarn festival!

    1. Oh thank you, Barbara. This shape of shawl is own of my favourites – it’s a bit bigger than some, but the extra fabric allows for better draping, I think.

    1. Thank you! I was a bit nervous about messing up some of that detail, but it worked out so nicely in the end πŸ™‚

  4. The sea breezes are breezy as today! None of your wall-to-wall blue skies like you’ve got in the north. Bring several πŸ˜‰

  5. You are welcome <3In your beautiful photo your shawl appears to be around your neck...is it big enough to drape over your arms?
