Walking behind Uriah to his preschool today and got a glimpse

Walking behind Uriah to his preschool today and got a glimpse…lump in my throat…heartbeat accelerated…someday this little boy will be able to reach that ring and open that gate. He won’t turn and say “momma, can you help?” His fingers and hands won’t be that small and chubby.
It’s one of those split second check-ins that I am so grateful for. “Slow down. Be present.” It’s a God-thing, I am certain. He reminds me of the treasures we are given in the smallest moments of the day.
Oh God, I am so grateful that you entrusted these tiny people to me. You believed in me. Wow! I am so humbled.
What treasures will God reveal to you today?

  1. Oh I know this one! It happens pretty frequently and then I feel guilty for doing laundry instead of reading a story with them…I ask God to keep them coming, and frequently:)
